Society Salon Collective is a boutique hair salon and collective of private beauty suites in downtown Ferndale, Michigan, created for independent beauty professionals and the clients who trust them.

Society brings established professionals together under one roof while giving each the freedom to operate and grow their own independent business.

From hairstylists and colorists to estheticians, brow and lash artists, permanent makeup artists, and other beauty professionals, Society is designed to be a place where individuality is celebrated, businesses can grow, and clients can discover exceptional beauty professionals in one thoughtfully designed environment.

Society was created around a simple idea: beauty professionals should be able to experience the freedom and ownership of working independently while still feeling connected to the energy of a larger professional environment.

Here, each professional has the opportunity to build a business that reflects their own identity, clientele and goals. Society provides the setting- not the identity.

The result is a collective of independent businesses, each with something different to offer, sharing a space designed to feel elevated, welcoming and inspiring.

Society Salon Collective was founded by award-winning hair artist and educator Jessica Phillips after nearly two decades behind the chair.

Jessica's career has taken her through traditional salons, salon ownership, independent studio environments, education, national beauty competitions, and partnerships within the professional beauty industry.

Society was created from that experience- with an understanding of what it actually means to build a clientele, grow an independent beauty business and create an environment clients are excited to return to.

The vision for Society is simple: create a beautiful home for exceptional independent professionals while giving them the freedom to build something entirely their own.
